SUMMERTIME! June 2009

It’s 2:00 pm on Wednesday – an empty parking lot behind our town’s Firehouse will slowly emerge from its quiet surroundings. Getting ready for another afternoon of business!
Within the hour they will start arriving. Trucks, vans, cars, start pulling in and taking their places. Little tents will grow in front of vehicles. Grace is usually first to arrive, Caleb - the Mood Family, swing their trailers into place. Warm smiles and helpful hands begin to set up this little community. Early shoppers are greeted like family as they inspect the fresh produce on display.

Karen’s fresh roasted coffee and the sweet smell of cinnamon buns and artisan breads are so powerful that Gramps has to remind the kids not to open the doors before the truck is fully parked!

There’s something for everyone. The veggies are plenty and delicious. And the farmers are very happy to help with your selection. They’re proud to offer you the best in local produce and flowers. Don’t forget about Grace from "Bee Well"! I know there’s a sweet tooth at home waiting for you to bring home the honey and maple syrup for tomorrow’s breakfast.

There are so many things for you to sample. By 2:15 you may be experiencing hunger pangs because Infusion Mobile Café IS ALREADY GRILLING! Wonder what’s on the menu today? Grilled Chicken heaped on Flatbread, Cheese Steaks , Peppers, Onions and Sausage Sandwiches. Ever wonder why food tastes so good when it’s grilled outdoors?
It’s 3pm….if you are reading this message, it’s time to put down the cell phone, close the computer and gently push your chair away from the table. …..We’re waiting for you…..

To all of our soon-to-be-new friends……you haven’t experienced summer until you pay a visit to our community’s Farmers Market! Look for us behind the Springtown Firehouse-Routes 212/412.
